3.1 Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the conduct expected of every Hirfa User — Client or Craftsman
— to maintain a safe, trustworthy, and fair marketplace. Violation of this AUP is a breach of the Terms of
Service and may trigger the enforcement actions described in Section 3.6.
3.2 Prohibited Conduct — Fraud and Financial Abuse
- Circumventing the Platform's payment system to avoid commission fees (Section 1.5).
- Submitting false, forged, or stolen identity documents during registration or verification.
- Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension, manipulate ratings, or exploit promotional offers.
- Chargeback fraud or knowingly disputing legitimate charges.
3.3 Prohibited Conduct — Harassment, Threats, and Abuse
- Any threat of violence, intimidation, or harm directed at another User or at Hirfa staff, through any
channel — in-app chat, phone, SMS, or social media.
- Abuse of the notification/OTP system to harass, spam, or intimidate another person (e.g., triggering
repeated OTP requests to a phone number without a legitimate booking purpose).
- Sexual harassment, discriminatory language, or hate speech based on gender, religion, or any other
protected characteristic under Egyptian law.
- Stalking, doxxing, or attempting to obtain a User's real contact/location details outside the
Platform's consented sharing mechanisms.
3.4 Prohibited Conduct — Platform Integrity
- Scraping, crawling, or using automated bots to extract data from the Platform without prior written
authorization.
- Attempting to probe, scan, or test the Platform's security posture outside the scope authorized in the
Vulnerability Disclosure Policy (Section 5).
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract the Platform's source code.
- Posting content (profile photos, portfolio images, reviews) that is obscene, defamatory, or otherwise
unlawful under Egyptian law.
- Coordinated or incentivized fake reviews, rating manipulation, or defamatory reviews intended to
unfairly damage a competitor's standing.
3.5 Reporting Violations
Any User who witnesses or experiences a violation of this AUP should report it immediately through the
in-app Reporting System (Section 13). For vulnerability reporting, see our Vulnerability Disclosure Policy (Section 5) and security.txt Declaration (Section 11). All reports are reviewed by Hirfa's Trust & Safety team, typically
within 48 hours, with urgent safety reports (threats, harassment) prioritized for review within 24 hours.
3.6 Enforcement Actions
Depending on severity and recurrence, violations may result in: a formal written warning; temporary
suspension of booking privileges; permanent account termination; forfeiture of pending payouts directly
attributable to the violation; and, in cases involving criminal conduct (e.g., threats, fraud, extortion),
referral to the competent Egyptian law-enforcement authorities in coordination with the procedures in the
Incident Response Policy (Section 9) and Evidence Preservation Procedure (Section 10).
