In Kafr El-Sheikh, inside the halls of the Higher Institute for Administration and Information Technology, the idea for Hirfa was born. It feels fitting that the journey brings us back to the same halls, this time not with a new product, but with a partnership built on something we already believe in: real skill deserves to be seen and supported.
Same mindset, different crafts
A craftsman fixing a complex machine without a step-by-step guide is doing the same thing a competitive programmer does when facing a hard problem in a contest: observe, break it into smaller pieces, experiment, and arrive at a solution. The only difference is the tool a pair of hands versus a keyboard.
Hirfa was built on the belief that Kafr El-Sheikh's talent doesn't just need a marketplace to be recognized in it needs someone to believe in it from day one. So when we found the ICPC Problem Solving Community a student community building a generation of programmers who can think clearly under pressure and solve complex problems it felt like the same spirit we built Hirfa on, just in a different form.
What the partnership actually is
Hirfa is now a supporting partner of the ICPC Problem Solving Community at the Higher Institute for Administration and Information Technology, Kafr El-Sheikh. In practice, that means Hirfa's logo will show up at the community's events, online and offline, and across their Facebook posts, as one of the names standing behind them.
It's a simple partnership in form, but a meaningful one in substance: no money or complex logistics involved, just a clear decision to show up in the spaces where Kafr El-Sheikh's talent is being built, the same way we try to support the city's craftsmen.
About the ICPC Problem Solving Community
The community is a genuine part of student life at the Institute, focused on training students to solve programming problems and preparing them for international competitive programming contests like ICPC. Members train on logical thinking, algorithms, and solving problems under time pressure, the same skills that separate someone who memorizes code from someone who actually understands how to think in it.
What's next
